Raspberry

‘Imagine’ said the wise man, ‘that the moon was made of raspberry. Would all socks be pink & all flowers meringue? Perhaps… & when evening falls shall we slide down the crescent laughing as we splash into warm waters of sweet milk, how enchanting life would be.’

Ok, so despite food issues (Ugh) I do believe in medicating yourself thro’ food, it’s more natural than the chemicals found in over the counter medication, but the latter are very important & I would never discourage people from taking tablets prescribed.

So, from doing a lot of reading up about the above subject, my memory tells me the following:

BERRIES: Happy Food – these will boost your mood, (Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries etc) as well as being very good for you.

CHOCOLATE: As Shauna said in a comment in a recent post, this fabulous food stuff is great for your mood too, apparently it produces almost the same feel good hormones as are produced when you have sex. If chocolate is better than the sex you’re having, it’s either top-notch quality or, well, I’ll let you work that out! 🙂

HOT CHILLI’S: Ok, so these are supposed to kill pain, but I’m gonna let you try that one out!

BANANAS: These have some sort of natural chemical in them that make you a little bit sleepy, which is kinda nice I guess if you wanna nod off, ooh & apparently bananas have no taste, they just have a smell.

KIDNEY BEANS: Good for your kidneys apparently.

Sorry, sorry it’s been so long; life has been ‘interesting’ shall we say, since my last blog.

I did a stupid thing, just a stupid thing, I weighed myself & got all anxious. I’d lost 5lb since I’d weighed myself 3 months previous, & losing weight is not something I need to do, but I’m scared of getting fat. Although my weight was down, it was higher than it had been (I guess that’s what you get if you’re 33 & 3/4, your metabolism slows).

Anyway, I fought against these stupid issues & ate when I was hungry; I have a life to live & have gotten over worse obstacles, so I didn’t, haven’t & won’t let it beat me.

Along with the food issues there has been a time when I felt so so alone. I have many friends & a loving family, so what was the reason for this? I dunno, I guess it’s something I had to go through as a matter of process & come out fighting.

Why does life throw these things at you? I dunno. I believe everything happens for a reason, I believe the struggles & battles as well as the good times are given, & we can learn something from these situations.

Maybe I look to deep into things, maybe we all do, I dunno.

One thing I still find so hard to do is talk about how I feel, it’s as if there’s a brick wall in front of me & very few people have taken bricks away. It’s nothing personal, it’s just how I am.

The way I express my feelings is by writing, & many negative experiences, or the memory of one gets written down & transformed into a manuscript or poem. Don’t be scared if you ever get to read my stuff, most of it is twisted & exaggerated; I guess we all have some sort of ‘Dark side’.

I feel I have been distant from friends & family (I’m sorry) & well, if you can make sense of my ramblings you might be able to see why.

Ok, I need to find a tune that expresses how I feel right now, the result is below:

Just doing a bit of research for my next post – it’s about foods that change your mood and I have a variety of sources to choose from, not just the www, but books and bits of knowledge I’ve picked up along the way.

Sometimes you can medicate with food, but talking about your mood is also great therapy.

Friends Past & Present

I have a lot of good friends, I am fortunate; there are so many nice people out there & I have found that wherever I have been in the world, people are mostly just the same,  wanting to go about their daily lives with little hassle & complication.

Because of Second Life, I have friends from Australia, the USA, Portugal, & many other places as well as from the UK, & thanks to modern technology, we can talk in voice/on camera or both.

It is sad when you lose friends in real-life &  Sl, maybe because of a disagreement, one has moved away or you just simply lose touch. A bit of advice I read somewhere once has come in useful & it goes something like this:

‘Don’t be too sad they’re not a part of your life anymore, give thanks that they were a part of your life, even just for a short while’.

We all have friends we want to take along life’s journey, people who make a difference to us & I think it’s important to tell them how you feel.

Ok, so now & then I read a phrase or a passage that speaks to me & makes me stop & think, thought I’d share ’em cos I think they can  make sense:

Little words of wisdom, I guess there are many more, some that take the form  of song lyrics & poems; we each have our own favorites that speak to us and maybe help & inspire us along life’s journey.
